Konrad Ciolkosz is a lighting designer and theatrical electrician currently based in Chicago, IL. He has worked in the realm of performance and entertainment lighting for several years, previously based out of Urbana, IL.
Having worked with a variety of companies, including The Celebration Company at the Station Theatre, Dance@Illinois, Illinois Theatre, Music Theatre Works, and Parkland Theatre, he has developed a devout understading of the needs and artistic sensibility for a variety of performing arts, including dance, theatre, and musicals. His lighting design for Hope Summer Repertory's Dragon Pack Snack Attach was praised for it's ability to "elevate children’s entertainment to an art. It’s so rarely seen, yet exactly as it should be." (Heinritz, EncoreMichigan).
He holds a BFA in Lighting Design and Technology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Outside of his performing arts work, he has traveled across the United States desiging and coordinating lighting for music festivals and industrials with Knox-Array Event Productions.
